Sunglasses From Yesterday and Today

THE Classics

These models are now worn unisex by both men and women and have surpassed every trend over the years. For those who do not want to be too fancy and want to combine their sunglasses in a variety of ways, these models are sure to be safe.

The Pilotenbrille

Probably the most worn sunglasses in the world. As its name suggests, it was designed to provide a better view of the American Air Force's flier of the 1930s. The bright blue of the sky, enhanced by the reflection of the clouds, made the pilots' work difficult. Therefore, a pair of glasses was sought which compensated for this.

Nowadays the variation with gold colored metal frame and green glasses is probably the best known. For those who prefer a more discreet and masculine look, choose a model with a darker metal frame and rather monochrome glasses. Also conceivable are models with a slightly wider frame of acetate, also in muted colors.

The Wayfarers

Due to its rugged frame and wide stirrup, it is easier to handle than the pilot's glasses and can also be worn as a corrective goggle. Both unite that they exist in different sizes and finishes. For men, the largest frame is recommended in both cases, while the smaller ones are mainly bought by women. This, of course, always depends on the face shape of the wearer.

The Browline Glasses

Cult status gained this model as a correction glasses and only in the last years, they became also more popular as sunglasses. Like the glasses models described above, the Browline Glasses are unisex eye glasses. The size of the frame determines the look. Similar to the Wayfarer, which is less suitable for square faces, for example, the specific shape of the Browline Glasses is not suitable for every facial shape, so a previous fitting is essential.
